What are Taiwanese?

Taiwanese generally refers to the people of Taiwan or those who identify with Taiwan, an island nation in East Asia. Culturally, Taiwanese people have their own unique traditions, language variations (such as Mandarin, Taiwanese Hokkien, and Hakka), and social practices. The term can also refer to things originating from Taiwan, such as Taiwanese cuisine or Taiwanese culture.

What are some common challenges faced by Taiwanese translators working in international teams?

Additionally, ensuring accurate translations that reflect both linguistic subtleties and industry-specific terminology can be demanding. Collaborating effectively often requires strong organizational skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach to resolving misunderstandings or ambiguities that may arise during cross-cultural projects.
