Introduction

\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nThe Division of Parks and Recreation oversees more than 26,000 acres in 17 state parks, the Brandywine Zoo. The Division protects cultural and historic resources, and provides a wide variety of recreational facilities for Delawareans and visitors. \r\n\r\n\r\nClick here for more information about Delaware State Parks.\r\n

Summary Statement

Positions support Delaware State Parks' Marketing and Retail programs through participation in public-facing events, promotional activation's, and mobile retail operations. These are year-round, as-needed positions, with scheduling based on operational and business needs. \r\n\r\n\r\n\tEvents and Retail Marketing Lead ($21.00) - Lead coordinator/keyholder for events for sales and marketing with the Division's Retail Sales Program; works with stakeholders and venues on all event planning and logistics \r\n\r\n\r\n\tAir Stream Driver ($17.00) - Primary responsibilities include transporting, setting up, and operating Delaware State Parks' 23-foot mobile Airstream retail trailer ("Dela-Wanderer") at events throughout Delaware and occasionally at regional trade shows or off-site promotional events. \r\n\r\n\r\nMust be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules and business needs.\r\n\r\n

Essential Functions

Essential functions are fundamental, core functions common to all positions in the class series and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties for any one position in the class. Since class specifications are descriptive and not restrictive, incumbents can complete job duties of similar kind not specifically listed here. \r\n\r\n\r\n\tSafely towing and operating a state-owned 23-foot Airstream travel trailer and other state vehicles to/from designated event locations \r\n\tResponsible for Delaware State Parks traveling retail store operations (requires travel). \r\n\tAssist Marketing and Retail Staff with daily duties as needed.\r\n\tEnsure vehicle is stocked with Retail Items, Marketing Material and giveaways, by communicating with Management when stock is low.\r\n \tAble to speak publicly in front of groups or audiences. \r\n\tPCI Compliance training required \r\n\tAssist with set-up of technology equipment (i.e., cradle points, laptops, printers, credit card devices, antenna, and other peripheral equipment) in the traveling retail trailer \r\n\tAssisting with transportation of trailer to/from DMV inspections and maintaining state requirements. \r\n\tSet up location, Retail/Marketing Items, Table, Chairs, Banners, etc. \r\n\tClean and Maintain RV. \r\n\tAbility to lift heavy items and set up RV. \r\n\tDemonstrated RV transportation and set-up experience. \r\n\tAbility to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. \r\n\tProvide general customer service and park information to visitors. \r\n\tOther duties as required\r\n\r\n
