Tactical Security Officer

This is a STANDING/WALKING post which requires you to be on your feet while on duty. This post is INSIDE a retail store.

The Tactical Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment through advanced security practices, rapid incident response, surveillance, patrol operations, and enforcement of site-specific security protocols. The officer provides a visible deterrent to criminal activity and responds effectively to emergencies, threats, and high-risk situations.

As a Tactical Security Officer, you will be expected to maintain a professional demeanor while providing superior customer service to our clients and your surrounding communities.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to deter theft
  • Communicate constantly with the manager on duty regarding any suspicious activity Implement loss prevention strategies and procedures to minimize risk
  • Monitor and respond to alarms to detect potential theft
  • Respond to emergencies, disturbances, medical incidents, and security breaches
  • Enforce company policies, safety regulations, and security procedures
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with inquiries or concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Valid NYS Security License
  • Prior military, law enforcement, security or bouncer experience preferred
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certification preferred
  • Knowledge of tactical response procedures and defensive tactics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and conflict management
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally
  • Attention to detail and strong observation skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Schedule:

Part-time

Shifts available: 1st (0800x1500) and 2nd (1500x2200)

Compensation: Compensation for this role is set and is not subject to negotiation.
