Job Description:

The L3Harris Tactical Communication Sector is seeking a Product Analyst to provide tactical technical support for our High Assurance Handheld product line, including multi-channel handheld, mission module products, and future releases of tactical data devices. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with extensive knowledge of tactical radio product lines, communication systems integration, IP networking, and practical project management skills. They will investigate customer requirements, research accessory and external application compatibility with our product offerings and provide informed recommendations. This role will be based out of our Rochester, New York facility.

Essential Functions:

  • Investigate, capture, and convey customer requirements for product and tactical systems applications.
  • Research accessories and external applications for compatibility and applicability.
  • Prepare detailed product specifications/responses for RFIs/RFPs in collaboration with offering managers.
  • Maintain integrity and consistency of product documentation including specs, data sheets, and brochures.
  • Independently author application notes and product bulletins to facilitate proper fielding and application of equipment.
  • Participate in trade shows, demonstrations, and field trials to showcase product capabilities.
  • Support identification and troubleshooting of field issues and product service returns.
  • Participate and provide organizational guidance during regular reviews of product line operations, trouble report reviews, and development status meetings.
  • Communicate effectively with contacts inside and outside of the department to explain and interpret technical product information, operational processes, practices, and procedures.
  • Product and system integration leadership in developing and validating customer concepts of operation.
  • Ability to travel up 50% or more, including international travel as needed
  • This position may require the candidate to be able to obtain a security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience in product line management.
  • Experience in the use and application of tactical radio equipment in customer-relevant environments.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Proficient in tactical radio product lines and practical project management, capable of managing projects or processes with general supervision.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to explain and interpret technical product information, operational processes, practices, and procedures to diverse audiences.  Strong writing skills to deliver technical publications such as whitepapers and sales force bulletins.
  • Experienced in supporting product life cycle processes, practices, and procedures to ensure product integrity and performance.
  • Skilled in recommending and innovating with enhancements to current and future products, systems, and processes to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving operational targets for multiple programs and projects, leading and contributing significantly to departmental outcomes.
  • Experience in sales and front-end business operations, including effective face-to-face customer interactions to understand needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Military service/background is preferred.
  • Familiarity with RF tactical communication networks - radios, waveforms and applications, wireless networking, IP network management and routing.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state, is $76,500 - $141,500.  This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
