Job description

West Volusia Family and Sports Medicine is actively seeking a qualified Medical Receptionist to join our Family primary practice. This is a FULL-TIME position Monday-Friday 9:30am-6pm. You will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team focusing in the areas of Family and Sports medicine. 


Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients upon arrival
  • Register new patients, update demographics for existing patients
  • Perform routine administrative tasks to support medical staff
  • Provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience in medical office or healthcare administration.
  • with medical terminology and procedures
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Able to use computer systems for medical records
  • Polished customer service skills and a real ability to understand our patients’ needs
  • The ability to handle and seek to resolve patient complaints if they arise, with tact and positive outcomes
  • Must be reliable and punctual in attendance to keep office hours and coverage in the practice.
  • Must be flexible for scheduling.


Abilities required: Excellent patient care skills. Basic medical terminology, basic arithmetic, and safe work practices in a clinic setting.  Experience with eClinical Works is a plus.
