In this fast-paced, full-time role, you'll be the face of our retail experience-welcoming guests, ringing up their favorite finds, and delivering top-notch customer service with every interaction. We're looking for friendly, dependable team members who love working with people and have an eye for detail. This opportunity works from 8am-4:30pm daily Holidays and Events. Starting pay up to $17.00 an hour* Based on shift, plus tips
Job Overview: Provide guest service in line with SMSC GE's culture of Purpose, Vision, and Values. Applies high guest service standards. Processes transactions pertaining to retail charges. Reconciles cash-drawer. Processes retail sales transactions.
Illuminate Your Future: What You'll Do:
  • Perform open and close gift shop procedures, operate POS system, and process merchandise sales, ticketing, credit, debit, and cash transactions. Ensure daily cash reports are accurate and complete.
  • Provide visitor reception, including information in the form of SMSC outreach brochures, and/or other media.
  • Assist with creating visual merchandising displays incorporating seasonal themes.
  • Monitor the retail area's physical condition and appearance and ensure security of inventory.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
  • Six months' sales and guest service experience.
  • Ability to pass basic math test.
  • Must have working knowledge of cash register and computer operations.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
