Job description

MARINE PARTS AND ACCESSORIES POSITIONS AVAILABLE!!

Accessories/Parts Associates work directly with customers, assisting with locating parts and accessories, while providing outstanding customer service!

Accessories

  • Provide prompt and professional customer service in a courteous manner at all times to customers who walk-in or call in for assistance
  • Promptly answer incoming calls and direct calls to the correct person
  • Assist customers with obtaining boat registrations and fishing licenses in compliance with state guidelines
  • Confirm customers may have access to storage lot according to company guidelines. Grant access to customer when guidelines are met
  • Collect payments and maintain an accurate cash drawer at all times
  • Ensure that counters and storage areas remain neat and uncluttered at all times
  • Escalate customer complaints according to customer policy
  • As needed assist with putting stock away in Accessories Store

Parts/Service Counter

  • Provide prompt and professional customer service in a courteous manner at all times to customers who walk-in or call in for assistance
  • Act as first level contact to clarify and attempt to correct customer dissatisfactions and to recognize when to elevate to the next level of management
  • Ensure all calls are addressed and the counter is staffed prior to leaving
  • Prepare work orders for customers ensuring accurate, detailed and legible information is on the work order
  • Review work order throughout work order lifecycle to ensure thoroughness of information and correct status
  • Log all conversations when a customer calls for status updates or general questions
  • Coordinate customer repairs and pick-ups
  • Collect payments and maintain an accurate cash drawer at all times
  • Inspect all boats and document any damage when customers arrives for drop off.
  • Keep the Parts/Service Supervisor updated of any customer complaints or delays in work orders
  • Ensure that counters, parts bins and storage areas remain neat and uncluttered at all times
  • Maintain properly stocked showroom shelves and displays at all times
  • Immediately report inventory discrepancies to Parts/Service Supervisor
  • Escalate customer complaints according to Service Complaint/Billing Issue flowchart
