Job description

Job Summary:
CORE-CSI is a small business headquartered in Sterling, VA, providing expertise to the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and other Federal and Commercial customers. The Tableau Developer role involves designing, developing, and maintaining Tableau dashboard reports and data visualization solutions to improve business processes and support management decision-making for government customers. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring quality and compliance, and providing technical support in a secure facility.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, conduct unit testing and maintain complex Tableau reports for scalability, manageability, extensibility, performance and re-use.
• Provide technical expertise in areas of architecture, design and implementation.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to create useful reports and dashboards that provide insight, improve and automate processes or otherwise add value to the team.
• Work through iterative review cycles to deliver results that meet or exceed user expectations.
• Develop solutions that comply with software standards, regulations, and guidelines, ensuring high-quality outputs.
• Work closely with users to understand their needs and analyze software requirements, ensuring solutions are feasible within time and cost constraints.
• Offer technical support and guidance to our team and customer Tableau users, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or related equivalent additional experience.
• Minimum 12 years of related experience required.
• Proven experience developing and working Tableau driven dashboards and analytics.
• Demonstrable advanced Tableau development skills.
• Working knowledge of Tableau administration/architecture.
• Ability to interpret technical or dashboard structures and translate complex business requirements to technical specifications.
• High-level competency in Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc...).
• Solid understanding of SQL, RDBM systems, data modeling and normalization.
• Understanding of advanced calculations and statistical functions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze user needs and develop solutions within time and budget constraints.
• Familiarity with Configuration Management, Change Management, and Security policies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to provide effective technical support and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred:
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.
• Previous NGA and/or NSG/ASG program/project work experience.
• Previous IC or DoD program/project work experience.
