Job description

Role: Vendor Security Contractor
Location: Sunnyvale, CA / Austin, TX (Hybrid)
Duration: 6+ Months Key Requirements
  • 8–10 years of experience in Vendor Security Management.
  • Hands-on experience with third-party vendor onboarding and Information Risk Questionnaires (IRQ).
  • Strong expertise in firewall administration (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Fortinet) in production environments.
  • Experience with Qualys for supplier vulnerability assessments.
  • Strong network troubleshooting skills, including VPN, provisioning, and connectivity issues.
  • Experience supporting secure vendor connectivity across enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of contract/PO management and Disaster Recovery (DR) readiness.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across Engineering, Product, Procurement, Legal, and Business teams.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Qualys, Tableau, Wrike, Slack, BOX, WebEx, Excel, Quip, Halo, Access Manager Admin, and Claude AI.
Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end vendor onboarding and secure network access.
  • Conduct vendor security reviews and support the IRQ process.
  • Configure and review firewall rules following least-privilege principles.
  • Perform supplier vulnerability scans using Qualys.
  • Troubleshoot VPN, provisioning, and vendor connectivity issues.
  • Maintain vendor security documentation, tracking, contracts, and PO records.
  • Support disaster recovery readiness and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Profile
  • Strong background in Vendor Security, Third-Party Risk Management, Firewall Security, Qualys, and Network Operations.
