Job description
Role: Lead Spark/Scala Engineer
Location: Austin, TX - Onsite
Duration: 6+ months
Key Skills:
- Strong Apache Spark & Scala experience, including DataFrame APIs
- AWS/S3, Iceberg, Git, SQL & Data Modeling
- Large-scale data platforms, ingestion, governance, performance & distributed systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Leadership & Delivery:
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Lead onsite-offshore coordination and client interactions
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Drive design, sprint planning, releases, PROD support, and documentation
- Identify risks/blockers and provide technical guidance to offshore teams
Nice to Have: AI/ML workflows, data science pipelines, AWS, Agile/Scrum
