Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Tableau Administrator who will primarily focus on managing and optimizing our Tableau environment. This role will involve overseeing user access and permissions, maintaining system performance, and organizing project structures. Additionally, the candidate will maintain some existing Tableau visualizations, mentor users in dashboard development, and troubleshoot issues to ensure effective data visualization. Proficiency in Python scripting is a plus and will be beneficial for automating data processes and enhancing workflow efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tableau Administration:
    • Manage and maintain the Tableau Server environment, including user access, security settings, and performance optimization.
    • Administer user access and permissions within Tableau Server, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and data governance standards.
    • Organize and manage Tableau project folders and workbooks to ensure efficient collaboration and data organization.
    • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
    • Conduct regular maintenance and upgrades to Tableau software.
  • Dashboard Development:
    • Maintain and update dashboards built by other developers
    • Mentor users in best practices for dashboard development, offering guidance on design and functionality.
    • Troubleshoot dashboard-related issues, ensuring data accuracy and effective visualization.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements for new dashboards and enhancements, and construct dashboards to meet those needs.
  • Python Scripting (a plus):

  • User Training and Support:

  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with data analysts, business intelligence teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
