Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Greet guests immediately, guide them through our menus, while demonstrating genuine hospitality
  • Provide friendly and attentive service that makes our guests feel well taken care of and builds their intent to return
  • Accurately record food orders ensuring each guest receives their meal to their exact specifications
  • Ensure all food and beverages are served promptly, garnished correctly, and meet the J Resort standard of excellence
  • Effectively communicate with our guests and other Team Members
  • Familiarity with front of house operations systems
  • Checks identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol and follows the Nevada Alcohol Awareness Procedures and the J Resort Company Policies
  • Be knowledgeable of all menu items, ingredients, preparation methods
  • Write down food and beverage orders and input and deliver following the correct pace of service
  • Assist Food Runner in delivering food to guests when able
  • Check on guests throughout their dining experience, maintaining table cleanliness, refills, etc. in accordance with department standards
  • Perform all opening, side work, and closing duties
  • Process all payments and complete end of shift paperwork

Skills, Education and Other Requirements:

  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Knowledge of P.O.S. system helpful
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Work Experience
  • 1-2 years of previous experience working in a large volume restaurant
  • Must be fluent in English and have good written an math skills
  • Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with State regulations)
