Located in beautiful Black Hawk, CO, Monarch Casino Resort Spa is seeking a dedicated and experienced General Manager of 24/7 Restaurant to lead operations in our high-volume, around-the-clock dining venue. The General Manager of 24/7 Restaurant is responsible for overseeing all front-of-house restaurant operations, ensuring excellent guest service, maintaining operational standards, supporting profitability, and leading a team of managers, supervisors, and team members. This position plays a key role in creating a pleasurable dining experience for guests while upholding Monarchโ€™s service standards, safety procedures, and company policies.

Responsibilities
  • Operate the restaurant in accordance with Monarch Casino Resort Spa standards, values, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor daily restaurant operations to ensure compliance with standards established by the Food & Beverage Director, company policies, county health requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Ensure prompt, courteous, and professional service to all guests in alignment with Monarch Casino Resort Spa service expectations.
  • Lead, coach, train, and develop restaurant supervisors, managers, and team members.
  • Establish clear performance standards for team members and restaurant leadership.
  • Provide structure, direction, feedback, and accountability to support successful team performance.
  • Maintain proper staffing levels through effective recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and scheduling.
  • Prepare work schedules and delegate work assignments to ensure operational needs are met.
  • Prepare team member performance evaluations, coaching documentation, and disciplinary notices when necessary.
  • Monitor team member performance and take corrective action through training, coaching, and discipline when service or operational standards are not met.
  • Circulate throughout the restaurant to coordinate team member activity and ensure efficient, courteous service.
  • Greet and communicate with guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Resolve guest complaints, concerns, and service issues promptly and professionally.
  • Communicate effectively with Food & Beverage leadership, shift supervisors, managers, and team members.
  • Understand financial reports and apply the information in a timely and practical manner to improve restaurant performance.
  • Manage labor, control waste, and identify opportunities to decrease costs through effective scheduling and operational oversight.
  • Increase revenue through team training, product knowledge, financial awareness, and consistent use of upselling techniques.
  • Inspect and monitor cleanliness of the restaurant to ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and health code regulations.
  • Adhere to and enforce all safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate all aspects of restaurant repairs and maintenance in partnership with appropriate departments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation through appropriate company communication and email systems.
  • Proficiently operate and oversee use of POS systems, Stratton-Warren inventory system, and office computer systems, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and related programs.
  • Identify, analyze, and solve operational problems quickly and effectively.
  • Readily identify and implement more efficient methods of operation.
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and approachable presence with guests and team members.
  • Know, understand, follow, and enforce all company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Colorado Support Gaming License.
  • Three to five years of high-volume restaurant supervision or management experience preferred.
  • Prior restaurant general manager, assistant general manager, or senior food and beverage leadership experience preferred.
  • Ability to obtain Alcohol Awareness Certification.
  • Ability to obtain Food Safety Certification.
  • Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, food service operations, sanitation standards, and restaurant service procedures.
  • Strong understanding of financial reports, labor management, cost control, scheduling, inventory, and revenue-driving practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish performance expectations and hold team members accountable.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, training, and team development skills.
  • Excellent guest service, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to successfully identify, analyze, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well with guests, team members, supervisors, and leadership while maintaining a positive and approachable attitude.
