Job description

  Job Summary:  The primary responsibility of the Casino Ambassador is to identify and inform guests on the Casino floor playing machines or table games without player’s club cards, the benefits of becoming a club member and signing-up new members. All duties are to be performed with enthusiasm and a positive attitude in accordance with departmental and property’s policies, practices and procedures.

Essential Functions:

  1. Must enjoy being with people and have the ability to make each guest feel special.
  2. Consistently exhibit an upbeat and positive attitude.
  3. Excellent listening, interpersonal and communication skills.
  4. Professional appearance.
  5. Assists in composing an accurate schedule according to demands of business and promotional events.
  6. Able to resolve guest's problems so that both the guest and the casino are pleased with the outcome.
  7. Conveys terms of programs and explains qualifications and requirements to prospective Players Club members.
  8. Sign up all un-carded players within ten minutes of commencement of play.
  9. Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guest demands in a fast pace environment.
  10. Execute floor promotions by identifying winners and notify them of the prize or promotional credits they have won. Assist marketing with floor promotions by signing up players and issuing prizes to participants when needed.
  11. Identify and approach players on the casino floor that have qualified or are close to qualifying for ongoing promotions.
  12. Willing to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of department.
  13. Provides customer feedback and suggestions to individual departments as well as the Director of Marketing on a regular basis.
  14. Meets attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting or standing for long periods of time occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; talking, hearing and visual acuity.
  • Occasional lifting (up to 30 lbs).
  • Physical ability to access all areas of the property.
  • Must be able to maneuver to all area of the casino, including in and around Pit areas.

Working Conditions

  • Typical of that in a busy casino with heavy cigarette smoke accompanied with a variety of noises and communications.
  • Flexible hours (week-ends, nights, holidays)

Minimum Qualifications for Consideration

  • Minimum of 1 years experience in guest relations skills, preferably in a high volume setting.
  • Must have basic computer skills and have an outgoing personality.
  • Must have a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Knowledge of the characteristics of appropriate and inappropriate greetings and interaction with guests and patrons.
  • Ability to work any shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Documents that establish both Identity and Employment Eligibility.
  • Kickapoo Tribal Gaming License.
