Job description

Job Title: CT Technologist (Contract)

Location: New York, NY (10003)
Assignment Duration: 8 Weeks (High possibility of extension)
Shift: Night Shift - 58 Hours (12:00 AM - 8:30 AM)

Pay Rate: $63 - $75 per hour


Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a short-term night assignment at a major healthcare facility in New York City. The ideal candidate will be proficient in CT imaging, comfortable working overnight shifts, and experienced with advanced imaging systems in a fast-paced clinical environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality CT imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols

  • Prepare and position patients for scans, ensuring comfort and safety

  • Operate CT imaging equipment accurately and efficiently

  • Administer IV contrast following certification and facility guidelines

  • Verify patient identity, exam orders, and imaging parameters prior to scanning

  • Review images for diagnostic quality and completeness

  • Document procedures and patient information in the electronic medical record

  • Maintain equipment cleanliness, safety, and readiness

  • Communicate effectively with radiologists, nurses, and physicians


Required Skills & Experience
  • IV Certification (mandatory)

  • Strong experience performing CT imaging procedures

  • Prior experience operating Siemens CT equipment preferred

  • Familiarity with Epic EMR system preferred

  • Ability to work independently during overnight shifts


Certifications & Licensure (Required)
  • ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist - R.T.(R)

  • ARRT Registered Technologist in CT - R.T.(CT)

  • New York State Radiologic Technologist License (DOH NYS)

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)

  • IV Certification

  • X-ray and CT credentials must be active and in hand at time of submission
