Job description

Job Summary
RDSI has an immediate opening for an experienced Systems Analyst with EW experience to work full-time on software configuration, troubleshooting and updating. This position is located full-time on-site at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Newport RI.
Responsibilities
  • Interface with software lead to determine software development requirements and library updates.
  • Perform assigned software configuration, troubleshooting and database updating.
  • Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices. Includes participation in peer code reviews. Provide feedback to peers improve overall code development process.
  • Provide engineering level evaluations of proposed tasks to assist RDSI in developing cost.

Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Windows OS and Linux.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in C++Minimum of 3 years' experience in MFC.
  • Bachelor's Degree in one of the following: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or related fields.
  • Must be well versed in the use of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Project. Experience using CM Pro or other archive systems preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written skills are critical.
  • The candidate must be able to work independently with a minimum of supervision, and able to work collaboratively with other team members when required.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Secret level Security Clearance.

Additional Experience Desired
  • Experience with HLA, Git, Python and SQL preferred.
  • Software performance optimization and real-time programming..
  • Familiarity with SMITT and SEWTS US Navy Training Systems, Electronic Warfare (EW), electronic surveillance, Electronic Support ( ES ), ELINT, and/or COMIT receivers, systems and techniques.
  • Radar or RF technologies, RF propagation theories, tools and basic antenna theory.
