Responsibilities
As a Sr Advanced Systems Engineer within the Next Generation Avionics (NGA) group, you will be an integral part of an integrated systems team, leveraging your experience in Systems Engineering and Software/Systems Integration to drive the design, development, integration and implementation of cutting-edge avionics solutions on the Anthem Integrated Flight Deck platform. In this role, you will work alongside a diverse team of engineers, developers and designers to create and implement forward-thinking Avionics solutions.
As the system owner of the Anthem Integrated Flight Deck, our team is responsible for overall system architecture and performance, working collaboratively with product teams (i.e Flight Displays, Flight Management Systems, etc) to ensure seamless integration of modules and subsystems.
As a flagship product, the Honeywell Anthem Flight Deck System is not just another avionics product; it is a visionary endeavor that employs cutting-edge technologies to redefine how pilots interact with flight information and aircraft systems.
Responsibilities
  • System design, development and integration of avionics solutions for our cutting-edge Anthem Integrated Flight Deck platform.
  • Perform systems engineering activities including requirements analysis, system architecture development, integration testing, and validation of avionics systems.
  • Drive software-to-software systems integration efforts for the Anthem Integrated Flight Deck.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, develop, and ensure seamless integration of Avionics software solutions that meet system requirements and performance specifications.
  • Conduct trade studies and feasibility analyses to support decision-making for avionics development and enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including requirements specifications, design documents, and interface control documents.
  • Coordinate and/or conduct system-level and subsystem-level testing
  • Identify potential risks in the development and integration process, proposing mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements in the Avionics space.

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 6+ years of Systems Engineering experience, including software integrated systems.
  • Strong proficiency in systems engineering principles and systems integration processes, with experience in software-to-software systems integration

  • Strong systems lifecycle expertise, ideally in avionics or aerospace domains.
  • MBSE experience
  • Familiarity with avionics standards (e.g. DO-178 / DO-254) is of value.
