The Systems Engineering and Test Center (SETC) organization is currently hiring a Sr. Systems Engineer to join our Tucson, AZ location. SETC is an exciting and challenging environment where you will have the opportunity to design, develop and partner with multi-disciplines to shape innovative solutions for our customers. Join our organization and experience the Systems V engineering life cycle while interfacing with a variety of engineering disciplines, subject matter experts, Chief Engineers, Chief Technologists, the customer, and so many more to ensure we design, integrate, and strengthen our systems to work the first time and every time for our warfighters!

As the Sr. Systems Engineer you will join the AMRAAM MIMIC development program as the Systems Engineering lead. You will be responsible for technical rigor for the full systems engineering lifecycle for a new missile simulator design project. This will include evaluating requirements documents, coordination across teams, sharing program process knowledge, mentoring engineers, and working with the technical and program leads execute program tasks. This role supports a fast-paced, development critical program.

As the Sr. Systems Engineer – Systems Engineer, Air Dominance Portfolio, you will have the opportunity to work on development related modeling projects pertinent to the system lifecycle. Existing program access is required to be considered for this position. This role is 100% on-site at our Tucson, AZ campus.

What You Will Do 

  • Create, Update, maintain, and improve Cameo models for the new design

  • Model the system and the system interfaces using Cameo

  • Document system requirements in DOORS

  • Facilitate knowledge transfer within and across IPTs/CPTs to include Cross-Functional collaboration and coordination

  • Direct a small team of systems engineers in the completion of tasks

  • Monitor and report team progress/status

  • Support test equipment software integration and verification for system test

Qualifications You Must Have 

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience.

  • Experience in Systems Engineering

  • Experience on Missile Program

  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering and associated tools including Cameo and DOORS

  • Experience with Systems Engineering Product Development Cycle

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Masters or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or Physics

  • A self-starter who can take on task with limited guidance.

  • Strong analytical and communication skills

  • Customer focus and collaboration skills

  • Familiarity with cPDM

  • Familiarity with military systems; tactics, techniques, and procedures along with DoD customer infrastructure experience

  • Understanding of Systems Engineering Product Development Cycle

  • Familiarity with system safety, reliability, and configuration management

  • Experience evaluating and mitigating technical risks

  • Prior work experience giving technical briefs or presentations

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
