ASI is seeking an Automated Test Systems Transition Manager to provide acquisition and engineering support to the F-35 Lightning II Joint Program Office (JPO) Depot and Support Equipment (SE) Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). The primary focus of this position is to deliver systems engineering solutions across F-35 Automated Test Systems (ATS) products to include Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) and Test Program Sets (TPS) to meet mission requirements within affordability and schedule objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the development of milestones, performance criteria, and goals as well as execution of ATS transition plans
  • Identify and validate projected requirements, engineering resources for future workload at USG Depots
  • Support OS migration efforts of F-35 ATS
  • Support Optimization Study efforts of F-35 ATS
  • Support any offload of existing F-35 TPS’s to DoD Family of Testers (FoT)
  • Compose engineering status briefs, reports, and issue/impact statements
  • Evaluate and analyze ATS major ECP’s and MOA minor changes for applicability and recommend approval/disapproval of submissions
  • Monitor supported ATS equipment/systems operations, performance, and condition to determine and assess operational readiness from an engineering perspective
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to DMS/obsolescence issues in relation to systems engineering
  • Support ATS coordination and compliance with overall F-35 sustainment schedules, policies, and directives with regard to ATS contracted efforts
  • Participate in the SE Systems Engineering Design review process to evaluate and verify engineering design impact for newly developed or modified ATE/TPSs
  • Support the development, coordination, or review of Statements of Work (SOWs), Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), Basis of Estimates (BOEs) to align with program technical, schedule and affordability objectives

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET approved institution
    • Master’s degree in program management with 3+ years of automated test systems (ATS) experience within the Department of War (DoW) may be substituted
  • Extensive knowledge of DoD ATS acquisition, development, sustainment, and ATS program Management, in particular contracting for ATS hardware, ATS software, and ATS systems engineering
  • Broad background in the practices, methods, and techniques of systems engineering
  • Working knowledge of program management to assist F-35 ATS Lead with contracted efforts and knowledge of the organization and operation of F-35 JSF activities
  • Sufficient knowledge of engineering disciplines to discern the difference between engineering and logistics problems; to analyze such problems and provide engineering solutions
  • Highly effective written and oral presentations skills
