Gogo is looking for a hands-on, collaborative, and highly accountable Systems Engineering Manager to manage the System Engineering team. This position will work as part of a tightly integrated development team, bringing together cross functional groups through the product development life cycle.
The Systems Engineering team is a core pillar of the Gogo development process that encompasses distilling product requirements and asks into development requirements and architectures, supporting cross-functional teams through their development, certification, and verifying and validating the end-to-end solution.

How will you make a difference?
  • Proactively manage all aspects of the System Engineering function
  • Ensure compliance to AS9100, DO-178, and DO-254 process
  • Anticipate, adapt, and guide the team through changing priorities
  • Demonstrate the ability to swarm systems engineering tasks and deliverables to augment the team when required
  • Provide clear product requirements and supporting data to cross-functional teams to enable the Systems Engineering team to achieve their goals.
  • Hire, motivate, train, mentor, and develop exceptional Systems Engineers
  • Champion your team's ability to think outside the box and push technical boundaries by understanding setbacks and strategize together to reposition and move forward

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Fields or equivalent work experience
  • 5-7 years' of hardware, software, or avionics system development experience
  • 4 years' direct, hands-on people management experience

Required Skills, Experiences & Talents
  • Avionics industry, DO-178/DO-254, and/or DO-160/MIL-STD experience
  • In-depth familiarity with systems engineering and product development processes
  • Knowledge and experience in both hardware and software development process

Preferred Skills, Experiences & Talents
  • Industry experience in telecommunications systems a plus
  • Satcom and/or 4G LTE/5G experience a plus

Base Pay:
140,000.00 - 175,000.00 USD Annual
Target Annual Short-Term Incentive:
Bonus Plan at 15% (% of Annualized Base Pay)
