Job description

Position Title: Senior Systems Engineer
Location: Chantilly, VA
Clearance: Active TS/SCI Required
U.S. Citizenship required
OMNI is seeking Senior Systems Engineer to provide SETA (Systems Engineering & Technical Assistance) supports to a high-visibility government program developing next-generation space-based sensing and radar capabilities. This role supports government leadership with technical assessments, systems engineering, integration, and mission execution across the full program lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide independent technical assessments of contractor designs, architectures, and system performance
  • Support systems engineering activities including requirements, integration, test, verification, and operations
  • Evaluate radar, RF payload, and mission system performance
  • Support MBSE and digital engineering efforts using tools such as Cameo/MagicDraw
  • Participate in design reviews, integration/test campaigns, and readiness assessments
  • Identify technical risks and provide recommendations to government leadership
  • Develop briefings and decision support materials for senior stakeholders

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field (advanced degree preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience supporting aerospace, defense, or space systems programs
  • Experience with ISR, radar systems, RF payloads, or mission systems engineering
  • Familiarity with MBSE/SysML tools and systems engineering lifecycle processes
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required
Preferred
  • Prior SETA or government program office experience
  • Experience with DoD acquisition processes and space system integration/testing
  • Familiarity with tools such as Cameo, Jira, Confluence, DOORS, MATLAB, or Python
