Job description

Thank you for your interest in employment with Louisiana Tech University.

In support of its recent efforts in partnership with private industry to support model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and machine learning research, the College of Engineering and Science at Louisiana Tech University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position. Candidates of particular interest include those with demonstrated research accomplishments in the fields of model-based systems engineering or applied artificial intelligence/machine-learning. Candidates must hold a doctorate or equivalent degree in an engineering or science field relevant to the application spaces listed above, and will teach in their relevant discipline. Candidates must be able to obtain a security clearance for defense-related funding opportunities with our strategic partners.

Successful tenure-track candidates are expected to actively participate in multidisciplinary research efforts in the College; initiate, build and sustain an externally funded research program; and supervise master's and doctoral students. Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong teaching skills, and a commitment to high quality university and professional service are also expected.
