Job description

Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide mission worthiness support for the Technical Advisory and Assistance Services (TAAS) program at Hanscom AFB.  This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities
  • Spearhead the development of a process to collect, integrate, maintain, update, and, as necessary, rectify all requirements for mission worthiness assessments, acquisition programs, and sustainment activities.
  • Research current and future systems within the NC3 weapon system.
  • Influence the NCW's requirements management process.
  • Meet with operations research analysts to assist in the design of processes for evaluating the system considering new requirements or datasets.
  • Interface with both internal and external stakeholders to including NCW; NC Engineers; NC Configuration Management; other NC OSFs; NC Front Office; AF Global Strike Command; and the AF Nuclear Weapons Center to integrate, maintain, and update technical requirements.
  • Provide data and research analysis.
Qualifications

5+ years experience in systems engineering.  Bachelor's degree in a related field.  Additional years of experience may be substituted for degree requirements.  Experience with RFP development including requirements gathering and analysis and source selection evaluation criteria.  Knowledge of digital engineering strategy and tools including Microsoft Power Platform and other Microsoft collaboration tools.  Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Teams, including data management, list creation, and integration with Power Platform.  Experience with other automation tools and platforms.  Experience working on each stage of the system development life cycle from initiation through deployment/sustainment.  Demonstrated proficiency with process modeling and developing workflow diagrams.  Able to elicit and interpret requirements and translate to technical specifications/system design following best practices and design patterns.  Capable of performing: problem/gap definition, trade space analysis, science and technology roadmap analysis, "Set based design" for concept development, Multi-Objective Decision Analysis (MODA) and cost versus capability trade off analysis.  Able to communicate with management, technical staff, and end users in a clear and professional manner.  Experience with engineering practices, techniques, and standards.  Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to develop and present technical presentations.  Able to represent complex data in diagrams or through other techniques that communicate precise information to both business and technical staff.  Proven ability to understand the strategic and tactical approach to projects and handle multiple projects concurrently.  Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance.

The projected compensation range for this position is $130,550-$150,110. There are multiple factors that can impact a final salary, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (if remote or different from the stated location for this position), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
