Senior Systems Engineer – Pharmaceutical Automation
Onsite | $145,000–$175,000 + Full Benefits | Direct Hire

Are you ready to own entire systems instead of just one component?
We're hiring a Senior Systems Engineer to lead the technical integration of highly complex pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment. This is a high-impact role where you'll work directly with a pharmaceutical customer, ensuring advanced aseptic processing systems perform reliably from installation through qualification.
If you enjoy solving complex engineering challenges, working across multiple disciplines, and influencing technical decisions, this is an outstanding opportunity.

What You'll Do
  • Lead system-level engineering for complex pharmaceutical equipment
  • Serve as the primary technical resource for two aseptic filling systems
  • Drive IQ/OQ qualification activities and system readiness
  • Coordinate mechanical, controls, automation, process, validation, and manufacturing teams
  • Translate customer and regulatory requirements into system specifications
  • Lead system integration, design reviews, FMEAs, and technical risk assessments
  • Support FAT, SAT, manufacturing, commissioning, and field activities
  • Partner with customers to resolve technical issues and improve system performance
  • Review technical documentation and engineering specifications
  • Help standardize engineering processes and improve system reliability
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 8+ years designing or integrating complex pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated process equipment
Experience with:
  • Systems integration
  • Mechanical & controls engineering
  • GMP/FDA regulated environments
  • FMEA and design reviews
  • Cross-functional technical leadership
Preferred Experience
  • Aseptic fill-finish equipment
  • Lyophilization systems
  • IQ/OQ validation
  • Requirements management / Systems Engineering
  • SolidWorks or Creo
  • Vacuum, thermal, refrigeration, or pressure vessel equipment
Why You'll Love This Role
  • Own complete systems—not just individual components
  • High visibility with customers and engineering leadership
  • Influence system architecture and technical strategy
  • Clear path into Principal Engineer or Technical Leadership roles
  • Support technology used to manufacture life-saving pharmaceutical products
Compensation & Benefits
  • $145,000–$175,000 salary
  • Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid Time Off & Holidays
  • Tuition Assistance
  • Career growth with a global automation organization
