    About the Role:

    We are seeking an experienced Contract Controller to lead the day-to-day accounting and finance operations for a growing organization. This hands-on leadership role will oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, general accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close activities while partnering closely with the CFO and executive leadership team. The ideal candidate is a strong accounting professional who enjoys balancing operational execution with strategic financial oversight.

    Qualifications

    What We're Looking For:

    • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibility
    • Prior experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager or similar accounting leadership role preferred
    • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting best practices
    • Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, general ledger, and month-end close processes.
    • Proven ability to lead accounting teams while remaining hands-on with day-to-day operations
    • Strong ERP/accounting system experience and advanced Excel skills
    • Ability to partner effectively with CFOs, executive leadership, and operational stakeholders
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
    • Experience in construction, general contracting, manufacturing, or project-based environments is highly preferred
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is a plus
    • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and quickly make an impact in a contract assignment
