Due to continued growth, we are looking to add an Electronic Security Project Manager to our Beltsville, MD team. In this role, you will plan, coordinate, and deliver electronic security system projects from initiation through closeout, overseeing schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client communication across a range of commercial, healthcare, education, and industrial environments. Success in this role requires strong project management fundamentals, technical knowledge of integrated security systems, sound financial acumen, and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all phases of electronic security and low-voltage projects from kickoff through closeout.
  • Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, field technicians, and internal teams.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Conduct project kickoff meetings and provide ongoing project status updates.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure scope compliance.
  • Oversee installation quality and ensure projects meet industry standards and safety requirements.
  • Track labor utilization, project costs, profitability, and overall project financial performance.
  • Maintain project margins through effective cost control, labor management, procurement oversight, and change order management.
  • Provide financial oversight of projects including forecasting, budget tracking, billing coordination, and revenue recognition support.
  • Coordinate procurement of equipment and materials while monitoring lead times.
  • Support system testing, commissioning, and customer training.
  • Resolve project issues and technical challenges in a timely manner.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Manage project closeout activities including punch lists, as-built documentation, and final turnover packages.

Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of electronic security technician experience or project management experience in the low-voltage/security industry.
  • Strong knowledge of access control systems, CCTV/video surveillance, intrusion detection systems, intercom systems, and structured cabling and networking.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, contract management, and financial oversight.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management training is a plus.
  • Manufacturer certifications or experience with Brivo, Eagle Eye Networks, Hanwha Vision, Avigilon, Digital Monitoring Products, or Honeywell is a plus.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
  • Experience in commercial, healthcare, education, government, or critical infrastructure environments is a plus.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
  • Approximately two-thirds field-based work visiting job sites and coordinating with clients, general contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Approximately one-third office-based work focused on scheduling, documentation, reporting, budgeting, and project planning.
  • Frequent travel to project sites throughout the service area.
  • May require occasional after-hours work to support project cutovers, testing, and system commissioning.

The salary for this role is $100,000 to $125,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
