Your role at Clorox:

The Clorox Company is seeking a qualified candidate for a position as a Learning Management Systems Technical Coordinator for our Atlanta West facility. This facility uses automated packaging equipment to manufacture and distribute Clorox cleaning products.
The successful candidate will have a related background in Manufacturing, Process, Logistics, and Maintenance with proven experience as a technical trainer, learning specialist, or instructional designer. This role is responsible for leading training strategies for frontline and technical teams to ensure safety, quality, housekeeping, performance, and people compliance by designing and delivering advanced, hands-on training solutions across Production, Process, Maintenance, and Logistics departments by applying performance analysis and continuous improvement principles.
Starting Hourly rate: $48.76 Shift-8hr. Mon- Fri., operating in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment. Offering excellent compensation and benefits package.

In this role, you will:

  • Partners with Production, Process, Maintenance, Logistics, and Engineering to develop and sustain our trainee's competencies by establishing robust training methodologies, clear learning objectives, standardized curricula, and comprehensive training plans that support onboarding and continuous development.

  • Create competency-based learning paths for cross-functional skill development.

  • Partners with Production, Process, Maintenance, and Engineering in resolving technical issues associated with equipment concerning mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and controls systems.

  • Defines and deploys learning objectives for technical training courses and designs materials such as equipment manuals, job aids, e-learning modules, equipment training simulators, and visual work instructions to be covered and utilized within Workday Learning.

  • Determines the trainee's mechanical aptitude by utilizing manufacturing equipment, equipment trainers, and partnering with Production, Process, Maintenance, and Logistics to measure the trainee's skill level and competency. Identify skill gaps and develop targeted training initiatives to improve the trainee's performance.

  • Participates in and oversees the proctoring of trainee evaluations, certifications, and recertification processes to verify effective knowledge transfer and confirm that training objectives and intended outcomes are achieved.

  • Oversee and maintain training equipment, spare part materials, manuals, and training environment.

  • Ensure effective knowledge transfer in relation to Mechanical/Technical Equipment drawings and training activities.

  • Train trainees on how to troubleshoot, analyze, and repair equipment to prevent, resolve, and eliminate various process failures and equipment breakdowns.

  • Train trainees on how to perform daily inspections of electric-powered forklifts and using various attachments concerning slip-sheet units, double-forks, pole attachments, and clamp trucks.

  • Train trainees on how to support Production by managing packaging materials, ensuring safety through reporting, and correcting unsafe conditions.

  • Train trainees on complex loading practices, warehouse layout, and capacity constraints.

  • Training trainees on how to plan and prioritize work assignments, supporting changeover and startup/shutdown processes, and overseeing raw materials.

  • Participates, Leads, and supports continuous improvement projects.

  • Train Process personnel on equipment operations, including changeover adjustments, basic maintenance, safety procedures, and troubleshooting to meet operating standards.

  • Train on MSDS (i.e., Material Safety Data Sheets) associated with the handling of chemicals in a safe/compliant manner, monitoring tank levels, preparing chemical batches at appropriate intervals, calibrating pH meters, and performing Quality checks on batches.

  • Train on the unloading of tanks and trucks; pump drums and totes into designated tanks. Deface, clean, and prepare totes and drums for reuse or recycling.

What we look for:

EDUCATION:

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor of Science degree in technical field or Business field or equivalent work experience.

  • Preferred Level: Bachelor's degree in education, Training and Development, Organizational Development, or related Technical Field.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum Required: 4-6 years of related experience with technical certification or a minimum of 4 years of related experience in Manufacturing, Process, Logistics, and Maintenance. Proven experience as a technical trainer, learning specialist, or instructional designer. Advanced training, presentation delivery ability, develop and design technical training materials.

  • Preferred Level: 6 years in Manufacturing, Logistics, and Maintenance environments with technical certification. Advanced training, presentation delivery ability and engineering process improvements projects. Continuous improvement mindset and the ability to adapt training strategies to evolving business needs.

  • Partners cross-functionally to resolve technical challenges, close capability gaps, strengthen operational readiness, and workforce effectiveness.

  • Capable to meet the shifts hours dates/time: Mon-Fri-8rs and flexibility if business needs arise for additional hours.

COMPETENCY PROFILE/SKILLS:

  • Proven expert level skills in three (3) or more disciplines (Mechanical, Pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, controls systems and equipment schematics). Analytical skills for problem solving design and process equipment improvements. Proven expertise in technical training. Advanced understanding of manufacturing/distribution processes. Knowledge Regulatory compliance associated with OSHA, DOT standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite. Strong organizational skills, effective writing ability, and effective communication skills.
