Job description

TITLE: HRIS Manager

DUTIES: We seek an HRIS Manager based out of our U.S. headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan; however, this is a purely telecommuting/work-from-home position whereby the employee may reside anywhere within the U.S. Note, this position does not require travel.

Maintain management and technical responsibilities for all interfaces globally, which includes all systems that the organization’s data sent from Workday to local and corporatewide systems such as payroll, Time & Attendance, Benefit Carriers, RSP, ERP, Travel, Active Directory, HFM, etc. Work closely with IT, local HR / payroll resources, as well as, outside resources as applicable. Create interfaces, technical programs, by which the organization automatically sends data to and from its global Human Capital Management System, Workday. Work with local HR Teams and Business Unit HR Leadership as applicable, to understand HR System, Payroll, and Time & Attendance needs, provide recommendations / solutions, assist in the creation of business cases and provide management support in leading the implementation of new HR-related system solutions. Lead projects in other HR system related areas such Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) to streamline, automate, and create efficiencies within Human Resources. Design, develop, and maintain global HR system interfaces and data integrations. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across all HR systems and third-party platforms. Collaborate with IT, HR, and external vendors to manage API, SFTP, and middleware-based integrations. Lead global HR technology projects involving system upgrades, new integrations, and process automation. Serve as the technical SME for HR system integrations during M&A, system migrations, and global rollouts. Monitor and troubleshoot interface issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption. Implement best practices for interface performance, scalability, and compliance. Maintain documentation for all integrations, including data maps, workflows, and technical specifications. Partner with global HR, Payroll, IT, and Compliance teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions. Provide training and support to HRIS analysts and business users on interface-related topics. Lead and manage the successful implementation of the interfaces from Workday to local payroll and Time & Attendance systems. Drive consistency and standardization of payrolls within a country, across multiple locations, to move to a single payroll interface from Workday to the payroll system. Manage the overall usage of interfaces, identify gaps, follow-up with local HR Management and ensure compliance. Assist with technical reporting requests as needed. Respond to internal and external audit requests. Maintain current knowledge of the current HRIS and Payroll system marketplace and possible global payroll solutions and Shared Service Models. Oversee Workday system upgrade testing (twice a year) related to interfaces globally. Provide regular updates to management regarding project updates. Please note, this position does not have direct reports.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), HR Technology, or Information Systems and 120 months of experience in job offered or related position in Human Resource Information Systems.

Required experience must include: 60 months of experience managing payroll and Time & Attendance system interfaces; Experience using integration tools (including Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, Workday Studio, SAP CPI); Experience with APIs, XML, JSON, SFTP, and middleware platforms; Experience with data privacy regulations (including GDPR, CCPA) and global compliance standards
