Job description

We are looking for a hands-on ERP Systems Manager to lead the evolution of our ERP platform within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in aligning systems with operational and financial objectives, while driving data accuracy, process standardization, and reporting visibility.

This position will oversee a small team (2 direct reports) and partner closely with both operations and finance leadership. Success in this role requires experience working in manufacturing, strong familiarity with Business Central, and the ability to lead system and process improvements end-to-end.


What You’ll Do

Operations & Manufacturing Systems

  • Ensure product structures and production paths are accurate and usable for planning and execution
  • Strengthen planning processes to improve material availability and production scheduling reliability
  • Streamline how production orders are created, processed, and tracked
  • Introduce better visibility into production capacity constraints
  • Improve the reliability of work-in-process tracking and job-level cost capture
  • Reduce dependency on offline tools by bringing processes into the ERP system

Financial Integration & Cost Control

  • Improve confidence in product costing by reconciling expected vs. actual results
  • Support more detailed profitability insights across products and jobs
  • Collaborate with accounting to enhance period-end close efficiency
  • Establish stronger documentation and controls within ERP processes
  • Ensure system workflows and outputs align with accounting standards

Data, Reporting & Insights

  • Build and maintain reporting tools that provide actionable operational insights (Power BI preferred)
  • Define and track key operational and financial metrics such as efficiency, inventory movement, cost accuracy, and delivery performance
  • Elevate reporting capabilities for leadership visibility and decision-making

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve system usage, eliminate inefficiencies, and modernize workflows
  • Lead cross-department initiatives to improve processes and data integrity
  • Own configuration and optimization of the Business Central environment
  • Partner with third-party developers when advanced customization is necessary
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of two ERP/technical resources


What We’re Looking For

  • Solid experience working with ERP systems in a functional or systems role (5+ years)
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Prior leadership experience with direct reports required
  • Background in discrete manufacturing, ideally in a made-to-order setting
  • Strong grasp of manufacturing cost structures and financial principles
  • Experience collaborating directly with both plant operations and finance teams
  • Proficiency with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools
