Job Responsibilities: โ€ข The principal systems engineer will execute multiple aspects of the systems engineering discipline, to include support of software development activities, requirements traceability into software functions, system performance analysis, and system integration and test activities to ensure system requirements achieve validation โ€ข The system engineer will interact with the agile development teams regarding technical considerations, risks, and issue closure associated with the system capabilities and features โ€ข The candidate must also possess the ability to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances, effectively network, and communicate to the appropriate levels of the organization and support schedules and delivery milestones โ€ข Perform engineering activities utilizing agile tools: JIRA, CONFLUENCE, JAMA โ€ข Perform engineering activities utilizing Cloud environments, tools, and associated procedures Basic Qualifications: โ€ข Typically requires a bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior relevant experience, OR an Advanced degree and 5 years of relevant experience. โ€ข Experience performing engineering activities within the full software development engineering lifecycle utilizing the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) development methods as a System Engineer. โ€ข Experience with requirement creation as well as decomposition of capabilities into features and the development of acceptance criteria for software and test development teams to ensure all requirements have a path for verification via acceptance criteria. โ€ข Experience documenting systems interfaces, network routing details and developing system architecture artifacts, Experience in agile development activities, including requirements specification and integration test and verification activities (full life cycle) โ€ข An active and transferable TS/SCI U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
