Systems Engineer
Change the world. Love your job.
Texas Instruments is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our Analog Power Products organization in Dallas. In this role, you will leverage your understanding of power systems and end-equipment to define next-generation TI analog power products and shape technical product roadmaps.
Systems Engineers at TI sit at the intersection of customer insight, market intelligence, and IC development. You will analyze key applications, identify unmet technical needs, and work closely with design, applications, and marketing teams to translate those needs into winning product definitions.
Responsibilities include:
  • Analyze target applications in automotive, industrial, consumer, and computing markets to identify technology trends and product opportunities
  • Interface with customers and TI business units to gather requirements and define compelling product specifications
  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps based on competitive analysis, customer input, and market trends
  • Assess architectural trade-offs in IC development in collaboration with design teams
  • Evaluate silicon systems - hardware and software - to validate system-level performance against specifications
  • Provide complete documentation for each phase of the product development lifecycle
  • Perform troubleshooting and debugging on system-level issues
  • Collaborate with applications engineers on system design activities to ensure new products fit target customer platforms
  • Collaborate closely with internal functions (e.g: Product/Test Engr and Project Manager) to regularly communicate market requirements and drive timely execution of new product releases.
  • Develop and track progress of NPI strategy to maximize market adoption

Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • 1+ years of experience in systems engineering, applications engineering, or IC design in the analog or power semiconductor space
Preferred qualifications:
  • Solid knowledge of analog electronics fundamentals including amplifiers, voltage regulators, data converters, and power management topologies
  • Experience using signal processing and system modeling tools (MATLAB, Simulink, SPICE, VerilogAMS, or equivalent)
  • Ability to read and interpret IC datasheets, application notes, and system schematics
  • Programming or scripting experience for IC configuration, test automation, or data analysis (Python, C, or MATLAB)
  • Prior experience as an applications engineer, design engineer, or in a customer-facing technical role using analog ICs
  • Knowledge of one or more end-equipment markets such as EV/HEV, data center, industrial automation, or personal electronics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to navigate ambiguity in early-stage product definition
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally
