Lonza Bend is seeking a System Engineer. In this role, you will provide technical ownership of critical manufacturing equipment, supporting safe, reliable, and high-quality pharmaceutical production while improving overall equipment performance.

This is a site-based role. Working together in person supports close, real-time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

What you will do:

  • Own and support pharmaceutical process equipment in a GMP manufacturing environment, including spray dryers and solid dosage systems.
  • Provide hands-on engineering support to manufacturing, quality, and reliability teams.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, process, automation, and electrical issues using structured problem-solving methods.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for equipment performance, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
  • Support capital projects from design through commissioning and qualification.
  • Partner with teams to improve equipment reliability, uptime, and maintainability.
  • Ensure equipment meets safety, regulatory, and GMP compliance standards.
