Job description

Job Summary:
Syntricate Technologies is seeking a System Engineer / Citrix Engineer to support United Airlines' virtual desktop infrastructure. The role involves installation, maintenance, and configuration of computer operating systems while enhancing the end-user experience through innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, security and integrity of computer operating systems and supporting software
• Will engage in interactive collaboration with personnel at all organizational levels
• Engage with customers by collaborating through phone, email, messaging, and video conferencing for developing innovative ideas.
• Communicate effectively with customers as committed, impressing customers with the ability to deliver resolution or status according to that commitment
• Analyze the experiences of a user and implement solutions that consistently improve user experience
• Write scripts using PowerShell to automate tasks and extract information from the infrastructure
• Build VDI images for general use
• Build VDI images for specific teams and use cases
• Migrate users to new platforms
• Create Documentation for delivery
Qualifications:
Required:
• Experience working with large-scale infrastructure environments
• Basic understanding of scripting using PowerShell
• Working knowledge of Windows 10 & 11
• Basic understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, TCP/IP, DNS, Firewalls, etc.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be an adaptable self-starter and work with minimal supervision
• Must be able to juggle multiple projects and organize time effectively
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Must keep up to date on current technology trends
• 5+ years of Citrix Virtual Apps or Desktop experience
Preferred:
• Experience with Windows management tools such as SCCM and Workspace ONE
• Experience with Service NOW incidents and requests
• Working knowledge of certificate management process
• Experience with tools such as Director, Citrix Studio, and Venafi
• Familiarity with SysTrack or other monitoring tools
• Previous experience in a leadership role is a plus
