About the Role

Landscape Workshop is growing exponentially and is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Business Development Manager to expand our market presence and generate new commercial business opportunities within an assigned territory. This role is ideal for a sales professional who enjoys building connections, developing prospects into long-term clients, and driving growth through a strategic and consultative approach. The Business Development Manager will manage the full sales cycle, present tailored service solutions, close commercial maintenance contracts, and partner closely with operations teams to deliver an exceptional client experience.


This position is responsible for and expected to travel within NOVA (Northern Virginia) territory. This territory includes: Fairfax County, Prince Edward County, Gaithersburg, Baltimore, Silver Spring, Glenwood, Howard County & Montgomery County.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to proposal development and contract close
  • Drive branch growth by identifying and securing new commercial maintenance clients
  • Build a strong pipeline through networking, cold outreach, referrals, and strategic prospecting
  • Develop meaningful relationships with prospective clients and key decision-makers
  • Present customized service solutions that address client needs and create long-term value
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure a seamless client experience and successful service delivery
  • Maintain accurate pipeline activity and sales forecasting using CRM tools and established sales processes


What We're Looking For

  • Experience in B2B outside sales or business development, preferably within the commercial services industry
  • Demonstrated success identifying prospects and converting opportunities into long-term clients
  • Consultative sales experience in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems and sales pipeline management tools
