Description

The Business Systems Coordinator supports the administration, compliance, optimization, and day-to-day operation of enterprise business applications across the organization. This role serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders, Information Technology, system vendors, and internal support teams to help ensure business systems are reliable, secure, compliant, and aligned with organizational objectives.

The Business Systems Coordinator assists with system implementations, user access governance, change control processes, system documentation, data integrity, training, reporting, and end-user support. This position plays an important role in driving operational excellence while supporting regulated business processes and technology initiatives.


Requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Business Systems Ticket Management & Coordination Monitor, triage, and prioritize incoming support tickets and service requests.
  • Assign tickets to the appropriate support teams, system administrators, or vendors.
  • Follow up with assigned resources and stakeholders to drive timely resolution.
  • Escalate critical issues and aging tickets as necessary.


User Access & Security Administration

  • Coordinate user account provisioning, modifications, and deactivations.
  • Support periodic access reviews and certification activities. Maintain documentation related to access approvals and security controls.
  • Partner with IT, Information Security, and system owners to support compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in segregation of duties reviews and remediation activities.


Change Management & Compliance

  • Support adherence to change management processes and documentation requirements.
  • Track system changes, approvals, testing evidence, and deployment activities.
  • Assist with audit preparation and compliance activities related to business systems.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation supporting system controls and governance processes.
  • Support internal and external audit requests, including evidence collection and remediation tracking.


Systems Implementation & Project Coordination

  • Coordinate activities associated with system implementations and enhancement projects.
  • Partner with functional stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
  • Facilitate communication between business teams, IT resources, and external vendors.
  • Assist with project scheduling, action-item tracking, testing coordination, and status reporting.
  • Support business readiness activities, including training and change adoption efforts.


User Support & Training

  • Serve as a primary contact for business systems questions and support requests.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate resolution with technical teams.
  • Develop and maintain user guides, standard operating procedures, and training materials.
  • Conduct user training and assist with new employee onboarding for assigned systems.
  • Promote system best practices and improve overall user adoption. Data & Reporting Support
  • Assist with data validation, reconciliation, and data governance activities.
  • Generate operational and compliance reports as required. Support management reporting, audit reporting, and KPI metrics.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to improve reporting capabilities and data quality. Process Improvement
  • Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation and optimization.
  • Recommend enhancements that improve efficiency, compliance, scalability, and user experience.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across business functions and technology platforms.


Qualifications Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.


Experience

  • 3+ years of experience supporting business systems, enterprise applications, IT operations, compliance, project coordination, or related functions.
  • Experience supporting ERP, HCM, CRM, or other enterprise applications preferred.
  • Experience with user access administration, change management, or audit support preferred.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry environment preferred.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle Fusion, Microsoft 365, or similar enterprise platforms is highly desirable. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong understanding of enterprise business applications and related business processes.
  • Excellent organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and disciplined documentation practices. Effective analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
