The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute (RRPFI) is the sole nonprofit organization created by President Reagan, charged with advancing his legacy and principles – individual liberty, economic opportunity, freedom and democracy, peace through strength, and national pride.

A globally recognized, nonpartisan organization based in Simi Valley, CA, with a leading policy institute in Washington, DC, the Reagan Foundation delivers impactful public affairs programming, policy convenings, and projects of national and international significance, scholarly initiatives, and distinctive educational programs that shape the perspectives of middle, high school, and college students.

In addition, RRPFI sustains the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum, the largest and most-visited presidential library. A leading cultural institution, RRPFI houses a remarkable 125,000-square-foot museum featuring unique historical pieces that tell the story of Ronald Reagan’s life, presidency, and enduring impact.

Position Available

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute is seeking a part-time Technology and Operations Systems Associate. This position will report to the Chief Technology Officer, initially. This role is based out of our headquarters in Simi Valley, CA and is an onsite position. The Technology and Operations System Associate will be expected to work in the office at least 5 days per week, including weekends and some holidays. As part of the IT Team, the Technology and Operations Systems Associate will support an approximate200-person user base. This is not an entry-level position, hands-on experience is required. The scope of this role goes significantlybeyond traditional IT support.

Duties and Responsibilities

This role ensures continuous network stability, aids in a comprehensive andproactive security posture, timely patch management, and immediate break-fix response, allcritical for operational continuity.

Provide strategic technology consulting to end users andleadership while maintaining day-to-day systems integrity.

Address maintenance windows and minimizes business disruption during museum operation on the weekends.

Support all technology related aspects of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Museum in Simi Valley, CA, and coordinate with NARA partners for updates, improvements and new exhibits.

Provide support to reduce downtime risk, enhance cybersecurity defenses and awareness, and deliver more rapid responsive end-user support essential for organizational productivity.This includes our Simi Valley, CA. and Washington, DC campuses.

Operational responsibilities include; process optimization, vendor management, systems documentation, cross-departmental coordination, and technology project management.

Handle tactical execution and day-to-day systems oversight, freeing executive bandwidth for strategic initiatives, vendor negotiations, and enterprise-level decision-making.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

Interest in President Reagan and the mission of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute.

Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to work both independently and with teams.

Able to work a flexible schedule, to include evenings and weekends.

Experienced in Windows Server Platform management.

Experienced with virtualization tactics and software such as VMWare.

Experienced in concepts of database Management.

Experience in Patch management and distribution.

High School Diploma required/AA or BS preferred with Computer Science and/or Network Administration degree (or equivalent).

Comfortable working with colleagues, donors and VIPS.

The work environment requires a polished, client-facing professional appearance and high-level executive presence, with the ability to interact seamlessly and build rapport with VIPs, executives, high-profile donors, and diverse internal teams.

Salary/Benefits/Location

This part-time position offers an hourly rate of $45.00 to $55.00. While the full range for this role is posted, the annual salary will be based on the candidate’s experience, knowledge and skillset. This is a non-exempt, part time position.
