This role is ideal for a hands-on cybersecurity engineer with strong Windows/Linux experience, cloud infrastructure knowledge, and the ability to support mission-critical security capabilities in a complex DoD environment.
In this position, you will help build and maintain cybersecurity applications and infrastructure, support cloud-based security implementations using services such as EC2, EBS, ELB, S3, and RDS, assist with technology upgrades and capability enhancements, and coordinate with stakeholders to support security assessments and authorization activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Engineer and implement cybersecurity solutions using cloud services, including provisioning AMIs, supporting software installations, and maintaining cloud-based resources.
  • Research, evaluate, and support implementation of enterprise cybersecurity capabilities that align with customer mission objectives.
  • Recommend technology upgrades and process improvements to enhance performance, standardization, security, and operational efficiency.
  • Support hardware/software selection, implementation planning, and capacity considerations for current and future requirements.
  • Develop and maintain architecture diagrams, technical documentation, test plans, and capability roadmaps.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, external assessors, and government partners to support security assessments, authorization processes, and technical exchanges.
  • Support network configuration upgrades, additions, and revisions through testing, documentation, and customer approval processes.
  • Serve as a technical lead or task lead when needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain a polygraph.
  • 6+ years of related technical experience in network/cybersecurity engineering, preferably supporting large-scale enterprise or global networks in a DoD environment.
  • Deep expertise in one or more cybersecurity technologies such as NDR, EDR, NGFWs, IDS/IPS, F5 platforms, or email/web security gateways, with working knowledge of additional cybersecurity tools or platforms.
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity principles, compute, storage, and transport.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux server operating systems.
  • Ability to develop technical and analytical documentation and communicate effectively with senior and executive-level stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting modernization of complex enterprise cybersecurity systems.
  • DoD 8140.01 / 8570.01-M certification alignment for IAT Level III and IASAE Level II.
  • Ability to obtain CSSP-Analyst certification within 120 days of start date.

PREFERRED QUALS:
  • AWS cloud infrastructure or cloud security implementation experience.
  • Experience supporting security assessments, authorization processes, RMF/ATO activities, or external assessor coordination.
  • Experience developing architecture diagrams, capability roadmaps, test plans, or implementation documentation.
  • Experience supporting cybersecurity infrastructure upgrades in classified or mission-focused environments.
