Helm Point Solutions is a cybersecurity and physical security firm committed to protecting the infrastructure that underpins national security. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Information Assurance (IA) System Architect & Engineer to provide expert support in designing, developing, and integrating secure architectures and system components for government environments. This role requires deep knowledge of Defense-in-Depth principles, enterprise security architecture, and multi-enclave system design.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will:
  • Support the Government in the design, development, implementation, and integration of IA architectures, systems, or system components.
  • Ensure information system architectures are secure, functional, and compliant, including program-of-record systems and specialized environments with platform IT interconnectivity.
  • Perform system and network designs supporting multiple enclaves, including those with differing levels of data protection and classification requirements.
  • Apply expertise in IA policies, procedures, standards, and workforce structures to design, develop, and implement secure networking, computing, and enclave architectures.
  • Collaborate with government stakeholders, technical teams, and security leadership to maintain the highest level of system protection and architectural integrity.

What You Bring
Required Qualifications:
  • 14+ years IA System Architect/Engineer (IASAE) experience, including recent (last 5 years) work with Defense-in-Depth, access control, authorization, authentication, PKI, and enterprise/network security architecture.
  • 2+ years applying security risk assessment methodologies, including threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and security risk analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of Federal, NSA, IC, and DoD information security regulations, publications, and policies.
  • IASAE Level III certification required: ISSEP, ISSAP, or CCSP.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, IT Engineering, or related field (may substitute for 6 years of experience).
