As the Enterprise Finance Applications Student, you will work alongside experienced and talented professionals and take part in interesting work assignments that stimulate learning. The Enterprise Applications used by the finance team at Canadian Natural include Oracle ERP EnterpriseOne (JD Edwards), Microsoft Power BI, Software Automation/workflow Tools, OpenInvoice (OI), Oracle Enterprise Performance Management, and various other finance applications. The Enterprise Finance Application Team consists of individuals with Accounting and Information Systems (IS) skill sets to solve business issues relating to solutions for finance.

  • Job location: Calgary, AB - Head Office
  • Shift schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off, 8 hours/day (Monday - Friday)
  • Multiple term starts and lengths: 
    • January 2027 - 4 months
    • January 2027 - 8 months

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist Business Analysts in projects as required
  • Learn the EnterpriseOne (E1) and/or other key Finance Applications specific modules to assist in analysis and solving data issues
  • Learn data mining and database querying to analyze data
  • Assist in managing data integrity and analysis to solve issues within current configuration
  • Assist in the facilitation and implementation of new configurations
  • Coordinate and facilitate finance application changes through a defined change management process
  • Perform responsibilities with adherence and respect to all Enterprise Applications processes and controls
  • Gain an understanding of how an ERP can be used in different business areas and how business requirements, experience and system functionality can add value

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Currently enrolled in your 3rd or 4th year of an undergraduate degree program in Accounting or Information Management
  • Familiarity with and understanding of:
    • Accounting concepts and principles
    • Business Intelligence or Data Analytics
    • Passion for Technology
    • Research strategies and analytical thinking
    • Microsoft Office Suite
