Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a unique blend of health insurance expertise and strong IT/technical knowledge. This role requires exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills to successfully lead complex healthcare technology initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
  • Lead end-to-end project management for healthcare IT initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation strategies
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies proactively
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget

Healthcare & Technical Integration
  • Bridge the gap between clinical/operational healthcare needs and technical solutions
  • Translate complex healthcare requirements into actionable technical specifications
  • Understand health insurance processes, claims management, and reimbursement workflows

Stakeholder Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders including operational staff, IT teams, executives, vendors, and external partners
  • Facilitate effective communication across all organizational levels
  • Conduct regular stakeholder meetings and provide transparent project updates
  • Navigate competing priorities and negotiate solutions that satisfy multiple stakeholders
  • Manage change management processes and drive user adoption

Team Collaboration

Required Qualifications
Education & Certification
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification required
  • Agile/Scrum certification (CSM, SAFe)

Experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years of project management experience in healthcare IT environments
  • Proven experience with health insurance operations, claims processing, or healthcare revenue cycle
  • Demonstrated success managing large-scale IT implementations in healthcare settings

Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of healthcare IT infrastructure, systems integration, and data management
  • Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, X12)
  • Knowledge of database management, cloud technologies, and software development lifecycles
  • Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, etc.)
