RESPONSIBILITIES:
The person in this position:
- Assists in the development of sales and marketing strategies for Sysco and other Focus Distributors on a national basis under the direction of the Foodservice director of distribution. This will include annual business planning meetings, quarterly business reviews and monthly calls with Hormel and Focus Distributors.
- Executes distributor sales plans on a national basis by working with Foodservice Regional Sales Directors, Foodservice Area Managers, Foodservice direct sales force, Foodservice Marketing team, Foodservice National Account Managers and distributor merchandising.
- Owns the business relationship with distributor Regional Category Managers to align field sales and merchandising execution to exceed category growth thresholds.
- Develops training tools including videos, brochures, and templates to be used to train Hormel and distributor personnel on product and category priorities. This will be done in collaboration with distributor Category Directors, Hormel Category Manager, Foodservice Training Manager, and Foodservice Marketing teams.
- Creates business analytics resources to track, monitor and communicate business plan objective progress.
- Monitors and maintains financial results including trade spend accruals, promotional programs, growth programs and supply chain metrics.
- Participates in major distributor presentations and major national account business development meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
- A bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of five years of Foodservice sales experience.
- Experience managing the Headquarter Relationship with a Foodservice Distributor (preferably Sysco).
- A pattern of initiative

- Proven ability to establish strategic selling initiatives.
- Highly developed interpersonal and persuasive skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and balance many projects simultaneously.
- Solid culinary skills and overall industry knowledge.
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills.
Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.

LOCATION: This position will work out of their home office in Houston, TX.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travel may be necessary 50% of the time.
Pay Range & Benefits:
At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $100,300 - $140,400 per year, and your actual base pay within that range will ,depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
