About the Role:

As an Associate Manager, Loan Closing, you will play a key role in managing the settlement of syndicated bank loan transactions for a diverse client base. Working closely with trading desks, legal counsel, counterparties, administrative agents, and operations teams, you will oversee the full loan closing process while ensuring timely settlement, accurate calculations, and exceptional client service.

How You Will Make an Impact:
  • Manage the end-to-end settlement of primary, secondary, and distressed bank loan trades.
  • Partner with clients, trading desks, legal counsel, counterparties, and administrative agents to facilitate successful loan closings.
  • Review, coordinate, and execute all required loan trade documentation in accordance with LSTA and LMA market standards.
  • Monitor a high volume of loan closing transactions while maintaining accurate trade status and settlement records.
  • Review settlement calculations and pricing to ensure accuracy prior to funding.
  • Investigate and resolve settlement breaks, documentation issues, and trade discrepancies.
  • Escalate complex settlement issues and potential delays while driving timely resolution.
  • Perform reconciliations and maintain accurate operational records throughout the trade lifecycle.
  • Deliver exceptional client service by providing timely communication and proactive issue resolution.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, efficiency, and risk controls.
Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related discipline.
  • Financial services industry experience in bank loan servicing or loan closing with a bank, hedge fund, fund administrator, or prime broker.
  • Strong understanding of syndicated loans, including lifecycle events, trade closing mechanics and economics, market settlement conventions, Credit Agreements, and their operational mechanics (including fund flows, ticking fees, paydowns, drawdowns, affiliate language, and related processes).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Geneva, ClearPar, or similar loan processing platforms.
  • Knowledge of syndicated loan documentation and LSTA/LMA standards.
  • Experience supporting alternative investment managers, private credit funds, or institutional investors.
