Your Job
The SWPPP (Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan) Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing and implementing stormwater management and erosion control measures on construction sites. This role ensures compliance with environmental regulations and company policies to minimize the impact of construction activities on surrounding ecosystems. The SWPPP Superintendent will work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and other construction personnel to maintain a safe and environmentally compliant job site.
Current Project Site Openings: Baconton, GA
* Location subject to change depending on business needs
Travel: Site based role with home trip rotations (typically every 3-4 weeks)
Compensation: $100,000 - $130,000 (flexible based on experience)

What You Will Do
  • Oversee and manage Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) for construction projects to ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations
  • Ensure erosion and sediment control measures are properly installed, maintained, and functioning effectively
  • Conduct routine site inspections to monitor SWPPP compliance, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Prepare and maintain required documentation, including inspection reports, monitoring data, and records of corrective actions
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies during site inspections and audits
  • Supervise and lead crews responsible for installing and maintaining stormwater and erosion control measures
  • Train and guide construction personnel on SWPPP requirements, best practices, and environmental compliance
  • Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate SWPPP measures into the overall construction schedule and operations
  • Address SWPPP-related issues promptly to prevent environmental impacts and project delays
  • Promote and support a strong safety culture by following safety protocols, conducting safety meetings, and participating in safety audits

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Experience in stormwater management, erosion control, and implementation of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP)
  • Experience leading or supervising SWPPP or civil construction teams
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and SWPPP documents
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to multiple job sites

What Will Put You Ahead
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and permitting requirements applicable to construction projects, including experience working with the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) or similar state regulatory agencies.
  • Experience coordinating with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies during inspections, audits, and compliance activities, including stormwater management and erosion and sediment control requirements.
  • Experience supporting construction projects in Georgia or other states with comparable environmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Erosion, Sediment and Storm Water Inspector (CESSWI), Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC), or similar environmental compliance credentials.
