Job title : Lead Switchgear Technician

Location: Henrico, VA 

Job Summary
The Lead Switchgear Technician runs the production area each day. They make sure work is done efficiently, fix technical problems, and help improve processes. They also guide the team, organize resources, and communicate with other shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production and give feedback to team members.

  • Share daily plans and solve production or customer issues.

  • Plan staffing and help manage costs.

  • Spot workflow problems and material shortages; work with Purchasing/Expediting.

  • Track NPI, pre-production, and rework tasks.

  • Handle scrap issues and stop work if quality drops.

  • Work with Test Support and Maintenance to fix equipment.

  • Update communication boards and support smooth shift changes.

  • Join improvement and cost-saving projects.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; technical training preferred.

  • 4+ years of experience in manufacturing or switchgear assembly.

  • Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Able to read diagrams, schedules, and detailed instructions.

  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Basic math skills, including rates, ratios, percentages, and graphs.
