Job Brief
As an Applications Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing and interpreting project Requests for Quotation (RFQs) from HubSpot. This position involves reviewing specifications and drawings to determine necessary materials, engineering, and production labor hours, testing, and field service requirements.
Project Management:
    • Complete project applications, documentation, and proposals within the required timeframes.
    • Provide necessary drawings and documentation.
    • Review project specifications and drawings, incorporating them into proposals.
    • Research and compile Bill of Materials for inclusion in proposals.
    • Utilize existing designs and departmental standards.
    • Oversee the project from inception to completion, coordinating with relevant teams.

Proposal Development:
    • Develop functional and compliant project proposals.
    • Interpret specifications, write-ups, and correspondence.
    • Resolve any technical questions in collaboration with Sales Managers, engineers, and customers.
    • Ensure proposals align with RFQs and meet customer expectations.
    • Provide technical expertise during customer meetings or presentations.
    • Ensure designs adhere to applicable codes, such as OSHA, NEC, UL508, UL891, UL1008, Annex J and UL1558.

Technical Coordination:
    • Perform necessary calculations and analyses.
    • Collaborate with mechanical applications teams on switchgear, cabling, and system integration.
    • Provide technical guidance throughout all phases of the project.

Requirements
  • Bachelors' degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • A Technical Degree or equivalent in experience is desirable.
  • Strong background in electrical power generation and industrial control systems is required.
  • Prefer experience of the engine/generator set industry is preferred.
  • Proficient in computer usage and design, ERP software, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical theory and power generation components.
  • Competent in Internet research for parts.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with electrical engineering terminology.
