Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Will be responsible for providing patient cares, assists in meeting the psychosocial needs of patients and general cleaning of units and equipment under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse on the medical/surgical floor. Will also perform ED receptionist duties to include registration and switchboard duties.

HOURS:

PRN – work as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school graduate or equivalent. Certified Nursing Assistant required. Must be on the CNA Central Registry prior to hire. Must have excellent computer, communication, and organization skills. Must be able to multi-task, work independently, be accurate and handle stressful situations calmly. Secretarial or reception experience preferred.

PRIMARY PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to handle frequent interruptions. Must be able to frequently lift over 60 pounds. Must be able to have good visual and auditory skills.
