Job description

               Wisconsin based manufacturer of precision machined parts needs an accomplished Operations Manager to lead a team of 60+ employees in a fast paced two shift operation.  

This is a critical leadership opportunity with a company experiencing significant growth. The company needs a hands-on operations leader who can drive production performance, strengthen daily execution, and help lead the planning and execution of future expansion. This role is ideal for someone who knows how to connect strategy to the shop floor, lead through supervisors, and build a culture centered on safety, quality, accountability, continuous improvement, and employee engagement.

Key duties include:

*Lead a high mix, lower volume operation where Quality is the #1 objective met through their extensive array of CNC, Mill, Lathe and Swiss machines on the floor

*Collaborate with the Master Scheduler to optimize machine uptime and labor allocation

*Maintain and champion ISO 9001:2015 certification, overseeing strict inspection procedures and zero-defect initiatives

*Oversee facility maintenance and the integration of new technology maintaining the "cutting edge"

Ideal Candidate profile should include:

*A minimum of 5+years of leadership experience in a CNC machining environment such as Production Manager or Plant Superintendent

*Strong technical understanding of multi-axis CNC milling and lathe work along with Swiss style screw machining

*Demonstrated background of being hands on, metrics driven and being able to earn credibility quickly with Machinists, Supervisors, Engineers and the Executive Team.

*Technical education is preferred but not necessary given the right experience
