The Landings Golf and Athletic Club is a private luxury residential club on Skidaway Island dedicated to providing members with an active lifestyle through resort-class amenities. Located 12 miles from historic Savannah, our Club offers members access to six championship golf courses, two marinas, 31 tennis courts, 15 pickleball courts, eight bocce courts, 10 unique dining venues, five clubhouses, five swimming pools and a 52,000 sq. ft., wellness center.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Enforces pool safety
  • Conducts swim practice 2 to 3 times per week
  • Assist in overseeing meets when necessary (approximately 4 hours in length)
  • Establishes excellent rapport with the members of the team as well as all staff
  • Participate in regular in-service training sessions
  • Comply with departmental uniform and grooming standards
  • Works effectively as a team with all departmental employee
  • Works variety of shifts, as needed to include nights, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Comply with departmental and Club policies and procedures
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
  • Communicate clearly and efficiently, receive information and feedback, and acts based on observation and information received

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 

  • Prior swim team experience is required (high school or club level preferred)
  • Outstanding verbal, written and multi-tasking skills

CRITICAL SKILLS 

  • Well-developed team skills, unquestioned confidence, and presence to effectively handle interpersonal relationships
  • Must be able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions
  • Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations
  • Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks and to deploy resources effectively
  • Must have the willingness to provide exceptional service to members and desire to provide leadership to position the department to achieve the mission
