Job description

SUMMARY

EMTโ€™s provide care and respond to all EMS and first aid needs for guests and associates during our Lakeside Lights Spectacular and License To Chill Snow Island winter program and provide quality patient care until EMS services arrive. EMTโ€™s are responsible for maintaining a clean work environment, record and report keeping, maintaining equipment logs, and should have great written and verbal skills. Need excellent customer service skills for dealing with our guests and be able to provide basic knowledge about the beach and waterpark. Applicants must hold a valid advanced emergency medical certification in the state of Georgia with 1-2 years of experience at a fire department or medical facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively respond, examine, and evaluate patients to determine necessary care and the need for EMS services being called
  • Provide park guests and associates with emergency care by utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment
  • Document patient care through logs and reports
  • Maintain confidentiality and perform all care with respect for patientsโ€™ rights and HIPAA
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment
  • Provide basic first aid and gather patient information
  • Provide beach and waterpark guests with basic knowledge and directions regarding the resort
  • Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None needed

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED required. Must be 18 years old and have a valid Advanced Emergency Medical Certification in the state of Georgia. 1-2 years experience with a fire department or medical facility.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence and complete reports detailing incidents and guest interactions. Ability to effectively present information and give directions with customers and employees.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in both written and verbal form. Ability to deal with problems involving many variables.
