About the Role
In this role, you'll be the trusted expert customers rely on to keep their pools operating smoothly and safely. You'll handle a wide range of service and maintenance needs, from routine upkeep and minor repairs to equipment upgrades, pool openings and closings, and pool cover installations. Each day brings something new, giving you the opportunity to apply your technical skills, solve problems in the field, and deliver a consistently high level of service that helps create a positive, worry-free experience for our customers.
General Summary of Position
Responsible for addressing all service and maintenance related customer concerns and needs related to their pool, that may include minor repairs, equipment upgrades, Opening and Closing of the pool, pool cover installation, and the ongoing maintenance and repair of pool equipment and accessories.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Perform spring openings and fall winterizations of residential swimming pools in accordance with company guidelines, including advanced water testing and chemical balancing
  • Diagnose, repair, recommend, and replace swimming pool equipment, including measuring and installing safety pool covers per manufacturer guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal construction and warranty teams to address service needs and provide recommendations related to pool care and equipment
  • Promote and sell pool equipment upgrades, chemicals, and maintenance services by maintaining working knowledge of Anthony & Sylvan products and offerings
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation of all pool services performed, including detailed service notes, chemicals used, and job-site photos
  • Maintain current technical knowledge through vendor and online trainings and assist with onboarding and mentoring of newer technicians as assigned
  • Safely handle, transport, deliver, and apply pool chemicals while maintaining company vehicle cleanliness, routine maintenance, and accurate inventory control
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Education
High School Diploma/GED preferred
Licenses/Certifications
Valid driver's license required in your state of residence
NESPA CMS & CMT preferred
CPO a plus, but not required
Years of Experience
At least 1 year of applicable pool technician experience required
Water chemistry experience required
Required Skills & Abilities
Mechanical aptitude, quick thinking and problem-solving mindset required
Excellent organization skills, ability to learn quickly, result oriented, detail oriented, interpersonal and communication skills are required. Team player with customer focus and self-motivated
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to perform the essential functions of the role.
Travel Requirements
Must be willing to travel 90-100%
Other Requirements
Must be equipped with standard necessary tools to complete pool service repairs and services for yourself and your assistant
The ability to work in all weather conditions is required
Flexibility on schedule required including working outside of a "scheduled shift" as well as evenings, weekends and potentially holidays during peak season
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds independently
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery or tools (with or without assistive devices)
  • Ability to wear required PPE (e.g., hard hats, safety boots, gloves)
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for prolonged periods of time
  • Must have the physical stamina to perform repetitive motions and handle manual labor associated with pool maintenance and equipment handling.
